Notes & Additional Information

As a result of a new School Admissions Code being approved by parliament, the Department for Education required all admission authorities to vary their 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 admission arrangements in respect of their looked after and previously looked after criteria. The 2021 School Admissions Code (the Code) requires children who appear (to the admission authority) to have been in state care outside of England and ceased to be in state care as a result of being adopted to be given equal first priority in admission arrangements, alongside looked after children (LAC) and children who were previously looked after by English local authorities (PLAC). Therefore we have varied both sets of arrangements to reflect this change as required by law.
