World Book Day 2025 On Thursday 7th March, Oaklands Schools celebrated our love of books by dressing up as some of our favourite book characters. Some children visited Pinehurst care-home to read books to the residents and then we held a shared read with the Juniors in the afternoon.

In the first two weeks of the half term, Year 2  became junior Pizzaiolos for the morning at Pizza Express in Fleet. During the morning, the children learnt about good food, tasted fresh ingredients, and of course, made their own authentic Margherita pizza. Year 1 Scooter Workshop 2025 We were fortunate enough to take part in an amazing scooter workshop at the start of the half term. We learnt about keeping safe, starting and stopping and saying, “Excuse me, please” to pedestrians.

Year 2 – African Dance and Drumming Workshop 2025 To bring to a close our Home and Away topic, Year 2 enjoyed an amazing day with Kwame from African Activities experiencing a range of immersive activities blending rhythm, movement, creativity, and culture.
