Dear Parent/Carers
Following on from National Offer Day – 16th April 2024, we would like to offer a very warm welcome to Oaklands Infants School to all our families that have been issued with a place in our Foundation stage for September 2024.
Once the local authority has received all of your acceptance of placements by the deadline of 1st May 2024 (Wokingham) and 3rd May 2024 (Bracknell Forest), we will be provided with full details of all our families joining us for the new academic year.
Full details of the transition arrangements for starting school, can only be issued to parents once the full process, including acceptance and any appeals has been completed. However, in the meantime, we would like to provide you with some of the important key dates as follows:

| Monday 1st July 3.30 – 4.00pm | Stay and Play Session |
| Wednesday 3rd July 9.30 – 10.30am Parent Presentation at 9.45am | Formal induction session including parent meeting |
| Thursday 11th July 9.30 – 11.00am | Formal induction session for children only |
| Between Thursday 20th June and Friday 12th July | Home visits, date and time to follow later. Home visits are a one off 30-minute scheduled appointment as an opportunity for your child to meet their teacher, and a chance for you to discuss things on a one-to-one basis. |
| Wednesday 4th to Monday 9th September | Phased introduction to school |
| Tuesday 10th September | Children start full time |
